Fewer Irrelevant Ads

Consumer research indicates that the best way for companies to improve Internet advertising is to make it more relevant to their interests. A user may dislike banner ads in general, or they may just dislike irrelevant banner ads. Webwise doesn't eliminate banner ads or popups, but can replace generic, irrelevant ads with ones that match user interests, automatically. Webwise never serves popups.

Webwise works by following the categories of things a user is interested in, and delivering ads that fit those categories, while fully protecting the user's identity and privacy.

As a customer searches and browses online, that behaviour is checked against advertising channels, like "Travel", "Finance", or "Luxury cars". These channels are set up by advertisers, who want to reach consumers who are most likely to be interested and find the ad relevant. The only information stored are those channels the user matches, discarding all the sensitive information like website URLs and search terms. Webwise stores nothing that can identify the user personally. (see Privacy for more.) In effect, the Internet shapes itself around the user, so they don't have to spend so much time working around the Internet.
